Based out of Rockport, Washington, in the beautiful and majestic North Cascades, John's Guide
Service is here to offer you the ultimate fishing, hunting or scenic river float experience.
As a full-time, second generation guide and fifth generation Washingtonian, owner John Koenig is
no stranger to the Pacific Northwest. Living within walking distance of the Sauk River and the
world famous Skagit River, John has access to some of the best fishing around. John enjoys guiding people of all
ages and experience. Sharing his love of the outdoors with others is what he's all about.

He guides anglers not only on his home waters, but also the most productive rivers in Washington
State, including the Olympic Peninsula, for Salmon, Steelhead, Sturgeon, Dolly Varden, and Trout.
John offers both gear and fly fishermen (and women) the best opportunities available throughout the
year. Traveling in style and comfort, you will fish out of either a sixteen foot Hyde Drift Boat
with forced air heating , a twenty-two foot Boulton Jet Sled equipped with all the latest bells
and whistles, or a 14 foot Aire Pac 1400 raft with casting platforms and knee braces both bow and stern.
While John has an impressive selection of gear for your use from the best names in the industry
(Lamiglas, Sage, St. Croix, Cabelas, Shimano, Ross, and Lamson among others),
he considers his most significant asset to be his exemplary customer service.

John's Guide Service also offers guided archery and modern firearm hunts in the foothills of the North Cascades (less than
a 2 hour drive North of Seattle), offering ample opportunities at Black Bear, Black-tail Deer, Grouse and more.
If you enjoy both hunting and fishing why not try a "Cast and Blast"? This all
day adventure combines goose and duck hunting with some of the best winter
steelhead fishing in the state.
Just looking for a change of scenery? The Skagit River, which John calls home,
is a federally designated Wild and Scenic River and
boasts the largest population of wintering Bald Eagles in the lower 48 states,
making it a great location for a scenic float .
Whether it's Fishing, Hunting or a scenic river trip, John provides you with the quality
experience you should expect from a professional guide service.
