This page is for friends, family, and other log cabin nuts we've met over the years, including Skip (I'm getting goose bumps) our teacher and log guru at the
Log Home Builders Association.
I first took Skip's class in the mid 90's and then proceeeded to move to the country, armed with dreams of building my dream cabin in the hills. Finally, with the help of family and good
friends, and good neighbors, my dreams are becoming reality.
After buying the logs, sketching out some plans, having the plans engineered, applying for the permit, paying "the man" for the
privilege of building on our own land, hand-peeling the logs, curing the logs for two years, cataloging the logs, and clearing some land, we are finally on our way.
New for 2007!! The Koenig Family Log Blog We're back in action on our Log Home again and we've set up a Blog to detail all of our
Log Home construction in detail. Our Blog contains all the previous photos from the start of our home to current along with many useful links as well. Please Register on the Blog and feel free to leave any questions or comments under any post.
