Our custom tailored Grouse hunts are conducted for the most part in the foothills of the scenic and majestic North Cascade mountains, by either John Koenig of John's Guide Service or one of two hand selected area guides.

On the morning of, or afternoon if you choose a half day evening hunt, you will be met either by John or one of our other guides to discuss the plan of the day which may involve a combination of driving, walking and stalking, in one of our pre-scouted hunting areas.

All of our local hunting areas are scouted at least once a week to ensure resident birds have not moved on and remain in the area.

Grouse season opens on September first with both Blue and Ruffed Grouse available in the area for the modern firearm hunter or the experienced archery hunter.

Grouse only hunts can be booked as a full day or half day only hunts. Half Day only hunts will be conducted either early in the morning or just before dusk and usually last until the bag limit is reached, or 4 hours whichever comes first.

Upon completion of your hunt your birds can be dressed immediately for you or just put on ice to ensure quality and freshness for your trip home.

Whether you choose a full or half day hunt, all lodging, food, tags and licenses will be your responsibility but we will be happy to help in making arrangements for your stay.
