Hunters from all over come to the Pacific Northwest for the opportunity to hunt
black bear, deer, waterfowl, and both blue and ruffed grouse.
Here, deep in the famed evergreen forests and on the misty banks of
the local watersheds, game thrive in some of the most beautiful habitat in the United States.
Whether
it's an afternoon of grouse hunting, or a full out black bear adventure, John is committed to getting you
up close and personal with your desired harvest species. John takes
the time to scout and regularly hunt these areas. Simply put, there's no one else in the county
who guides these woods better.
All trips are custom catered to fit you and your skill level, hunting method and desired species.
John offers both archery and modern firearm hunters the best opportunities available throughout the
fall, hunting for Bear, Deer, Grouse, and Waterfowl.

Our custom tailored hunts are conducted for the most part in the foothills of the scenic and majestic North Cascade mountains,
just a two hour drive north of Seattle, by either John Koenig of John's Guide Service or one of two hand selected area-locals
born and raised here in Rockport, Washington.
On the morning of your hunt you will be met either by John or one of our other guides to discuss the plan of the day which may involve a combination of
driving, stalking, tree-stand or ground-blind hunting in one of our pre-scouted hunting areas.
All of our local hunting areas are scouted at least once a week to ensure resident game species have not moved on and
remain in the area.
On big game hunts for black-tailed deer and black bear, opportunities at both Blue and Ruffed Grouse may and do arise along with
a chance encounter of a Cougar or a Bobcat, so it is always a good idea to purchase applicable tags for other than your targeted species.
Upon completion of your hunt your game will be dressed immediately and caped accordingly to ensure quality
and freshness for your trip home.

Whether you choose a single day hunt or a multiple day hunt, all lodging, food, tags and licenses will be your responsibility
but we will be happy to help in making arrangements for your stay.
Please be sure to check out our Hunting Calendar page before planning your hunt to choose from one or more of the many species
available in this area. For species not local, but within a 2 hour drive, to our area such as White-tail deer and Mule deer,
please book your trip well in advance to allow us ample scouting time prior to your hunt.
All pricing for hunts can be found on selected game species individual pages.

"Hey John had a great time, appreciate everything, including those up close and personnel experiences
this Hawaiian boy has never experienced before. You know I thought I was getting good at spotting
that bear sign, which just happened to be all around us, but for some reason what I thought was a
freshly clawed up tree, turned out to be some damn moss. The nerve, playing tricks on those
hawaiians. HaHa! Could not have asked for a better guide, even though I did not harvest a bear I had
the greatest time, and saw some of the most beautiful scenery.
Like you said John, Guide not God! Aloha a me Mahalo nui loa!!!!"
